This was a strange one. I felt like the prose was dry and just a bit off, like I couldn’t fault the writing, but there was something I couldn’t put my finger on, and I found the start rather dull.
The middle of the story became interesting and actually rather rich with character building and descriptive language.
The end left much to be desired. I feel like there wasn’t really a point to the novel, maybe the end was meant to signify a beginning of Peri’s new outlook on life, but it was abrupt and unfulfilling.
