The kid acting is pretty trash not gonna lie. I have a hard time connecting to them. But that's nothing new. Beyond that everything else is pretty solid.

Waaaaaaay to much going on. This movie had like 4 side plots in addition to the main one and I feel like half the characters could've been removed and the movie would've ended the same. Beetlejuice has an ex wife who just walks around the whole movie and then has an unceremonious end. There an arc about a ghost boy murderer that just randomly ends. All the tiny head guys escape into the real world and it's never followed up on. This movie feels extremely rushed. The acting was great and the themes were funny and interesting. But when I felt myself hooked onto a plot point or an arc it would just end. I'm rating 2 stars because this movie felt like something I'd never go out of my way to watch again but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. It looked fine and as I said actors did great. The writing just super sucked.

I am one of those guys who puts R&M on every night to go to sleep as background noise. I'm a huge fan of the original show and went Into this thinking that it's gonna be a funny rendition just in anime. I didn't laugh once during the first episode. I was left with more questions than answers. (Which to their credit I think was the point) but if your gonna drop something like this you gotta do the whole first season together. You can't release this and not expect everyone to hate it. Art style sucks. Voice acting is worse. The subtitles don't even match up with what they are saying. It's just bad. Don't expect an updated episode 2 review. I'm out.
