This has moved in to one of my favorite anime of all time. The comedy style is so utterly dry, the humor is so uniquely situational that it moves beyond anime as one of my favorite stories in general. One could assume this is a typical isekai anime, and I wouldnt blame them for being duped. But the humor is so unique. Unlike most anime, it does not burden the viewer with exposition. That alone is worthy of praise. The gaps in explanations allow the imagination of the viewer to understand the comedic intent of the author to shine through. The author plainly making fun of the absurdity of fantasy anime and general anime tropes while championing them at the same time. Cid being a fully committed chunibyo thats seemingly able to shape the world to his delusions is hilarious. Following the rule of cool above all else, and unwittingly using the utter dedication of the members of Shadow Garden is comedic perfection. I also applaud the development of the nearly entirely female supporting cast to be more than just one dimensional cheerleaders, even if the roles theyre given would normally suggest such an archetype. The only fault is the massive world and cast doesnt allow more development in the minimal amount of time afforded to us. I recommend this anime highly, but I also suspect its extremely dry humor may be lost on some. 10/10
