pretty traumatizing by the way the director delivers the message in the movie like it meant to be that way, that humbert's love and obsession with lolita is merely a pure love while it's not. it didn't portray humbert's evil thoughts and behavior enough. it seems like it's a romantic relationship between old manipulative pedophilia rap*st to a 12 yo kid, which makes it so uncomfortable and disturbing to watch. there are so many things got skipped in the movie, if you really wanna know the story of Lolita please just read the book instead, it's less traumatizing and explains much how evil and disgusting humbert is and how Lolita is the poor kid here. So no normalization or glorification over child abuse and predator!
