Seemed like a personal therapeutic film for Andrew. I like Andrew (I’m 64), and I’m really glad he did this, even if it was for himself, but I would have liked to hear from the others that were not there. Andrew has a casual freeform way of getting the information we need. Judd, Molly, and Anthony Michael Hall were missed, but I’ve heard from Molly -in a podcast last year- and fully understand her preference to focus on the future.

I’m still processing in light of the election…..not a fan of graphic violence or sadistic torturing scenes but the special effects and acting was great.

The poetry of the book and its’ smooth shifting of time is lost here. also the acting is so stilted and the dialogue treats us like we’re idiots. The cruel violence and depiction of the NAZI’s as walking talking demons are stereotypical and overdone lacking any nuance of good vs evil.

Incredible actors and pacing of a multilayered story.
