I had to come back and edit my review. At first I gave it 3 stars but after this one scene, I had to come back and do justice. There is this one scene when she is llooking at some christmas decorations. The camera slowly turns to the right where a cut out of Santa is. She tells it to stop smiling, then for over 20 SECONDS THE CAMERA JUST SHAKES..... JUST SHAKES. Have the fast forward button ready for this one. It's a lot of nothing sometimes.

I tried to get into the walking dead, and couldn't, and I think the reason for that is because the walking dead had A LOT of slow periods of time. The thing I like about black summer is not all episodes are a full 40 to 50 minute episode, so the action is there from biggining to end. I also like how they showed the first days of the outbreak. Humans trying to get to an evacuation point, not having much experience with guns, so some people get shot by accident. And they don't know about Mercy yet, so zombies aren't going down easy.
