Excellent strategic simulation of WW2 that stands the test of time. However, make sure you play it in its "Grand Strategy" fan-edited incarnation, if you are keen on a historical WW2 re-creation. The standard Gold Edition is great for exploring "what if" scenarios that are less constrained by historical accuracy. In my opinion, this older game engine still does the best job of simulating the major aspects of WW2, including the importance of oil, logistics and air power, when compared to other titles like Strategic Command. My only minor complaint is that the map of the Atlantic ocean and US east coast is not to scale with the rest of the European map.
