I don't understand why this movie is getting bad reviews. It is a great movie. It has something to say. I think people have this preconceived idea of how a movie is supposed to be due to the genres present in modern cinema like fantasy, action, sci-fi etc but movies are a form of art, it's an expression! It doesn't have to be an epic for it to be great! As long as it passes the message across I believe the vision of the film makers has achieved it's purpose! For "Very Good Girls", it deals with feelings and emotions most people would choose to ignore and not talk about - the possibility of being in love with the same person as your friend, human vulnerability, loyalty, jealousy, bad decisions, being stuck between doing stuff for yourself or considering the feelings of others etc. For me what I found most interesting was the dynamic of attraction and perception. It was a great movie!!!!
