Ends once and for all the debate about whether the Japanese would have surrendered had the bombs not been dropped. People arguing the contrary are just plain wrong. Moreover, had they not been dropped, surely someone would have dropped one in a subsequent war, which has not happened. No test or demonstration would have graphically imprinted the horror.
