Dumpster fire of a movie that fails deliver on both horror and suspense. If you're not part of the religious cult known as Christianity, then the closest you'll find to actual possession here is how often you roll your eyes during the movies runtime.
I'm the furthest from a religious person and I went into this movie blindly since it was #1 on Netflix. Starting out, it seemed pretty..decent. The acting is top-notch, sure. The relations between the characters are very relatable and I can understand the struggle the family is going through.
But then once it reached the climax of the movie, I couldn't retain that suspension of disbelief any longer. If the point of the movie was to make me "accept God" then you failed spectacularly.
