On a lazy afternoon my roommate and I begrudgingly put on this 3h film in hopes of watching something that would at least provoke thought and if nothing less get some good gory scenes.
I’ll admit there are some good gags and some fun death scenes but they are only moments of relief in an otherwise slow, annoying, and frankly boring movie.
The overall feeling once the credits finally hit the screen is relief. Shorty after you are met with annoyance and even a little bit of anger.
Maybe if they made the film a hour and a half shorter it could be a fun ride, but no it’s 3 hours. 3 hours of nonsense that you put up with because your friend who’s a screen writer told you it was amazing.
After it’s all said and done I can confidently say that I will not ever re-watch this film. I probably won’t ever recommend it, and after I finish writing this won’t think about it again.
For what it’s worth however, I am happy that I saw it and will happily discus its flaws with anyone who cares enough to bring it up.
