It felt like the success of this movie was entirely based on knowing everyone from the original Betelgeuse generation would definitely see part 2. (Apologies for punctuation ahead of time). Not 1 single storyline was followed/completed. You had the daughters boyfriend, Betelgeuse ex, wether the marriage happens or not, and so on.... Honestly you didn't even get enough of either storyline, for any of either of them to matter. Micheal Keaton dulls in comparison to his original performance. It felt like even he knew the movie was crap, and just a quick fan base "cash grab". With all of today's advancements in CGI (especially compared to back during the original); even the attempt to give nostalgic feel... the movie failed by somehow making this one seem shitty in comparison. I watched 3 confusing episodes, of a TV show, that didn't properly wrap up anything... when I went in excited to see a decent part 2, of a movie a generation feel in love with. All the returning actors knew it was an easy payday. Absolutely NO feel (and horribly noticeable dull comparison) of the original. ZERO story line to follow during the movie. Cheesy (look away I'm embarrassment bc I brought my kid) wedding musical. Tim Burton; be ashamed of yourself, and the tragedy you made of such an iconic movie.
