I used to play Star Wars Republic Commando back in the glory days of early online multiplayer gaming. This game was an absolute gem. My brother introduced me to this game, and there were so many hours spent grinding it out and going to battle with people. In all honesty, the server size wasnt very large. (maybe it was their matchmaking system, or local proxy only?) But you would be able to get to know some of the people you play with, or against. Learn their habits, etc. The weapons were not really different as far as damage, unless you have a sniper / shotgun. It only mattered about aim and timing. truly beating your opponent mono y mono. The satisfaction you get from this game will last a lifetime. Once upon a time, you could get away with openly hacking the physics of gaming servers (frowned upon, sure) and nobody would complain. The chat would love it, full support from the lobby. Everybody just having fun, enjoying friendly competition....man, it was nice. Seems like a lifetime ago. Im surprised to see that its not only still around, but only $10 on average to purchase.
