Pokémon Horizons had such big hopes going for it since the games recently had more mature themes inserted in them, so naturally people expected the same for Horizons since they decided to stop Ash’s journey for this. But alas Horizons turned out to be even more for kids than any of the past Pokémon seasons it’s basically a slice-of-life series now rather than a battling series which is what the core of Pokémon is, Friede and sometimes Roy are the only ones carrying the spirit of what the franchise actually is which is battling and growing a bond through battle with your Pokémon. The story is ok at best and Liko is a disappointment of a character, they filled in the role of a protagonist with the whole chosen one thing without any personality given to her whatsoever (maybe she has some if being an introvert was a personality trait).
