The Budd Boetticher directed Randolph Scott Westerns rank among the finest of the genre. This one starts off with a grinning Scott and a comical Arthur Hunnicutt, but turns really dark when Richard Boone, Henry Silva and Skip Homier show up. Well written, directed and acted. Boetticher and Anthony Mann changed the Western in the 1950s, and like most of their Westerns The Tall T is excellent.

Paul Muni is outstanding in Howard Hawks epic gangster movie. Ann Dvorak is great as Muni's sister, and the film made a star out of George Raft. Karen Morely, Osgood Perkins and Boris Karliff round out an excellent cast. Watch all the times Hawks finishes a scene with an X.

Along with Once Upon A Time In The West, the best Western ever. Possibly the best 2 films ever. Randolph Scott and Joel McCrae are outstanding in Sam Peckinpah's Masterpiece. If the ending doesn't bring tears to your eyes, nothing will.

One of the best of the 60s political films.

Shocking when first released, still packs a punch though the plot has now been reused hundreds of times. Spielberg showed great promise with this and Duel, but quickly turned to lowest common denominator sappy movies. Still, Jaws spawned an entire sub- genre of the horror movie.

Lang's Masterpiece is the blueprint for film noir and made a star out of Peter Lorre. As atmospheric as cinema gets.

The director of Death Rides A Horse- Guiliano Petroni- said Kill Bill was pretty bad. Since according to Tarentino Kill Bill is a rework of Death Rides A Horse, I'll just say see Petroni's movie instead. Kill Bill isn't very serious and it's too silly to get mad at it. There are bits of Spaghetti Western soundtracks mixed in from much better films.

By my count the 36th Django movie is ok, lots of Spaghetti Western soundtracks are filtered in. Christopher Waltz plays the Franco Nero type character from a couple of non- Django Sergio Corbucci Westerns. Nero has a cameo that is difficult to watch, the original Django deserves better. Watch the original Django ( directed by Corbucci) and some of the other better Djangos instead like $10,000 Blood Money, Django Kill, or a Long Row Of Crosses. Film has some good scenes but badly needs to be edited.

Excellent example of the Spaghetti Western, along with the Leone films and Corbucci's Django the most influential. Van Cleef is outstanding in fast paced, violent and ironic revenge tale with unforgettable ending Ennio Morricone score.

Best detective film ever. Hammett, Huston, Bogart. Perfect.
