Poorly scripted.
The first half of the movie is incredibly annoying. Especially the general kissing ender's ass all the time.
It gets slightly better in the 2nd half & the ending is pretty cool.
CGI is amazing.
There is no character development whatsoever.
Although Ender's acting is appreciable.
Script & overall acting could have been much better.

I swear the biggest reason people do not like this movie is because it speaks to them so directly. & we hate it that we've been in those places where the main characters are.
This movie made me hate both the main characters, it made me hate myself.
& I loved the movie. Everything about it.
What may seem 'plain' for some was more like 'no bs' for me.
Also, I think it's one of the most visually beautiful movies I've seen.

unusual concept appreciated. if jump scares is your thing, you might probably like this movie. But overall a pretty stupid movie. The end twist was a nice try to pull it back up but it wasn't enough. 2/5
