To all.... after reading many of the comments of review about this movie there had not been anything posted that truly reflects the overall movie details... noting that likes and dislikes are dissimilar that everyone or nobody could like anything or everything more than ying yang... so without being totally confused by others reviews...here's the following summary of this movie in my opinion Go see it... The movie was good... it is worth the watch on the big screen... do not see this movie with any particular expectations rather than enjoy what they have provided... not every genre in a movie appeals to everyone equally that's why they ( neg reviews) were dissatisfied... however not mentioning any particular cast or director or any other part of the movie in particular it is a good watchable realistic drama with good acting good portrayal of situations and it is entertaining there are funny parts, strong patriotic drama in the movie there was many battle scenes few cuts of French culture during that time.. overall there is superb acting with many different supporting characters throughout the flick...the costuming and wardrobe and the music is fantastic... I recommend this movie for people that enjoy period piece movies I particularly enjoyed this movie even though there was many negative reviews I was surprised that the movie quality was well done... it is long and it is to be noted that the movie doesn't flow smooth...it is chopped up into different segments with very little segway... but it's still watchable and enjoyable throughout...go see it~
