Mid-Boss

Dawntrail is easily the worst FFXIV story we've ever been given. They let a junior writer take over writing the MSQ, supposedly, and whether or not that's true, this story is BAD. They gave a new, untested, and contentious since her introduction character about 85% of the screen time AND dialogue! In a STORY DRIVEN game. That means the expansion lives and dies by her, and unfortunately, it dies. The English Voice actor lacks range to convey proper emotion, but even if they were a better VA, there's not a lot for them to work with, so they aren't entirely at fault. It's the WRITING. This character comes off as a blackhole that envelops the story to the degree where even when she's not on screen, everyone is talking about her. Every returning character is a cardboard cut out. You could count the lines fan favorite, Y'sthola, has on one hand! And they are lines that could have been delivered by anyone! The story does heat up towards its ending, but then introduces questionable morals by having the heroes kill off an entire city's worth of people. The people involved in greenlighting this need to be fired!
