Although I live in Wirral and was born in Liverpool,I had never heard of this film until I was fortunate enough to see it by chance on TV channel "Talking Pictures" late one night. A good story with some terrific glimpses of Liverpool in the early 1950's, Some lovely scenes, a good cast, including Kathleen Harrision and Richard Burton and for someone of my age, very nostalgic seeing Liverpool as I remember it as a child. Good social history. Strangely devoid of any trace of Liverpudlian dialect !
