Like many, I enjoyed her earlier works. But her stories began to lack structure as the years passed and she was forced to exhaust her characters’ potential. I keep going back and giving her books renewed chances to satisfy only to be constantly disappointed. The most recent injustice is “Unnatural Death.” She spent almost 1/2 the book describing the recovery of two bodies, hinting they were killed by Bigfoot, but never resolving the mystery. I gave up with 100 pages to go. I’m permanently done with Cornwell.
