Cullen Cairns

The plot was kind of hastily put together and lacked depth. You can tell they're building up to some strange plot twist or revelation, but the details are not there and I have trouble reconciling a lot of the character's motivations. The male lead is truly awful. His acting felt condescendingly cliche and it bordered on parody. It wasn't believable and his interactions with Alita were reminiscent of Hayden Christiansen's acting in Star Wars: Episode 1. His storyline and in particular his redemption fell flat and felt disingenuous. Ultimately they should have taken more time to develop the story and fine tune their character's. The whole thing felt rushed and more appropriate as a TV series than a movie series. Sad, as I was expecting better.
