this show is quite possibly the worst show I have ever watched. This show had a budget of 180 million dollars and contained dialogue so bad you’d swear it was a student film. The characters had little to no development, their motivations would change on the flip of a dime. For example Mae “i love my sister we’re inseparable” to “oh you wanna be a Jedi? I’m gonna light you on fire and murder you now” to “I’m gonna train to avenge what they did you” - you get the point. The writing was the most consistent aspect of the show because all of it was consistently absolute garbage. Every episode felt like running a cheese grater up and down my brain. This show could have been told in 4 episodes but instead was dragged out into 8 with pointless scenes or just straight up reused scenes from a different angle. One episode was just them walking through a forest for 30 minutes💀. They try to paint the Jedi in a different light by having them cover up a murder that happened - but they even failed at that because it was just straight up self defence. Like they could’ve easily written the Jedi as being the aggressors and trying to take these kids away from their lesbian witch community but the Jedi were attacked, defended themselves and then were told “well you shouldn’t have been there in the first place.” Just horrible writing. I don’t understand how they fumbled this so hard. I know a lot of people are angry about all the Star Wars lore that this show has just straight up ruined, but even if you put all of that aside, it is still fundamentally a horrible show.
