Sadly, very, very disappointing. I am on pg 64 and have turned to these reviews to find out if I am missing something and whether I should bother to carry on. It is dull, boring and depressing. There has not yet been a single line that has brought a smile to my face nor any mention of tap-dancing, which is what drew me to the book. Has Alan Bennett actually read it? Is this a case of the Emperor's New Clothes? Don't bother....
