Started off strong but quickly became dull and repetitive. There are exactly ZERO stakes so there is no tension in the action sequences and that makes the outcome of each episode foreseeable and thus the "danger element" to the characters is removed. The humour becomes bland by season 3, the setups and jokes are obvious and are always delivered cheaply and rarely given any time to breathe or develop into anything more than "Look at the weird thing haha!" or "Ricks intelligence makes character X look stupid haha!" "Isn't this guy pathetic? Not like me the writer and you the viewer, we are the smart ones ah-hahahaha". ..
It is enjoyable but it is not the epoch shattering, mindgasm that Dan Harmon and its more dedicated fans would have you believe. It's just a quite standard sci-fi comedy really, with a few extra orders of soft science bibble and a few references to physics and philosophy (often of the cheap and done to death "What if many realities...?" "What if there is a clone of you somewhere?" stuff which has been done before and with more warmth and to better effect as far back as the early and best episodes of Red Dwarf), but that enjoyment could be in danger of being ruined entirely should you be unfortunate enough to hear Dan Harmon on a podcast...then the show becomes deeply embarrassing to watch, it is clear (despite protestations) that Rick is who Harmon sees himself as and it becomes kind of sad really... like you have just walked in on a middle-aged man standing in his underpants with a blanket for a cape pretending to be Superman....
This is clearly a show that has many fans and many of those fans will read Jordan Peterson....and some others will be in awe of Ben Shapiro...and still others will be those poor sadacts that got over-excited about some dipping sauce....and still others will be those who will tell you all of the music you listen to is rubbish and you should only really be listening to the obscure stuff they get from a very lowkey record store that only sells records by white American teens complaining crafted by bearded pixies that they go to...and still others will be the kind of gamers that have a big public cry about girls, non-white people and LGBTQI people in games, indulge in casual transphobia and blart about how hard it is to be a smelly, fat white man with a beard full of crisp crumbs and a bad attitude in the twenty-first century.... still others will be those who think Stephen Fry, Dawkins and Hitchens are the minds we should all hear and be different to despite them all being vile old crackas whose views and proclaimations are merely a defence of the status quo...and still others will be those that claim rape should be made legal and wives should be given to men by the state to ensure good breeding prospects....and some will be people who wanted to have a chuckle at some funny stuff, but they will soon fall away when the cracks that started appearing in season 4 become huge fissures in season 5 and chasams of unfunny filler in season 6. Avoid at all costs. It is a waste of time and you will keep running into people who really should STFU and get back in their hovel like bedrooms.
