I really enjoyed the film and am looking forward to the 2nd part...which will hopefully release in the near future. All good choices on the casting, especially for the House Atreides. The pacing didn't bother me. The work is too large to compress into a 2-3 hour window. I appreciate the landscapes and special effects. Love the costuming. It is a beautiful film. I saw the 1984 version when it came out. The campy Baron disturbed me. Thankfully the gross-out factor was removed in this film. Stellan Skarsgard's portrayal is much more believable and menacing. Don't pay attention to the naysayers. Not every movie needs to be a Fast and Furious spectacle. I plan on watching it again.
