Classic French New Wave film. A must see. Although, yes, you can watch it on your TV, the complete appreciation is only possible on the silver screen. Intense philological story that dealt with the background lives during World War 2 and the consequences after the war.

This 1957 Elia Kazan' movie with Andy Griffith, Patricia Neal and Walter Matthau, among others is a quintessential must see movie today. Its shows the impact that a new social media, TV in this case, has in the public that still sees this medium as new. The same can be said today about the Internet based platforms. In this film you have a snapshot in the 1950's in the United States but also in phenomena that allowed figures like Trump to become president. Finally, this movie was Andy Griffith debut interpretation, and also is an opportunity to see him grow in a role so different from his show and later roles.
