So even though I knew this show is not historically accurate at all (which was a bummer), I immensely enjoyed the first season. The acting was just amazing. The characters had some mystery to them, seriousness and elegance. Not sure what happened with the 2nd season but it's horrifically bad. The characters are jokers, especially Livia, who had all that powerful aura surrounding her, the way she walked, talked, dressed and moved. Always in control. In the 2nd season, she looks like a stoned woman who keeps needing her next sniff. Her whole appearance made her look like a homeless woman who is a bit manic. No mystery or power. I went from loving her so much to hating her. They also started cussing like mad in the second season. Super trashy in comparison to the first season. The language turned into how teenagers talk and fight these days, with those gestures on the faces that are a trend to now vs then. It's just horrible. It's like they gave a bunch of teenagers the freedom to rewrite the script. I also wish they do something about stopping all those extremely skinny women from appearing on screen. Livia looks so anorexic now. You can see her ribs on her back. Most of the actresses are skin and bones, it hurts to look at. I finished the season because I can't leave anything midway but definitely not gonna watch season 3 and I truly hope it gets canceled. What a waste.
