This game as of December 2023 is amazing. Feels like classic bf3 bf4 gameplay with a touch of modern speed and fun elements thrown in. Playing on series X with 128 players is great and runs smoothly with no issues. I’ve really enjoyed the game and have played nearly all battlefields since bad company. I hope the next battlefield will stay true to its roots by keeping all the mechanics that the players want. Class systems defined and useful. That’s what makes battlefield separate from most shooters. Also vehicles and infantry being balanced well. As well mechanics and game modes being interesting and possibly getting creative with some new game modes as well. If the battlefield formula is working well honestly I think people including myself would love to play through some new game modes. Not saying that the game needs it since it really doesn’t necessarily but as long as battlefield is running well as it should, I’d love to see the experience applied to some new fun. Overall this is a great game that I think was a step in the right direction as of now, when it first launched not so much, but now yes. Thankyou dice for fixing it and I look forward to seeing what comes next. Also I know EA has a habit of making everything about money sometimes but if you could tone down all the “iOS game looking start page” on the games that would be better for immersion. Like all the “battle pass” and “coins” and gems and skins. Those are all fine but just don’t try and sell me them when I just boot the game up. Have them somewhere secluded so they don’t remind me that I’m playing a cash grab but that I feel like I’m playing a video game that is supposed to immerse you into a BATTLEFIELD. Not a casino. I think that’s a problem with a lot of games these days so please, if you’re going to do it then do it well. Hide it. If people want it they know where to buy it they don’t need it to be forced down their throats. Imagine when modern warfare 2 came out. What did you see being sold endlessly on the main screen? Nothing. That’s part of why those games were great. Because the video game creator prioritized fun, and passion and video games over money. I get that’s not always the case and a lot of those devs did it for money so it’s not black and white but you get my point. When money is guiding creativity, it gets diluted and sometimes dies. But when creativity is guiding creativity then naturally it can only be received well if it’s ACTUALLY GOOD.
Okay enough about the money, this is a great game as it stands and I hope the future of Dice games learns from the mistakes of its past and the mistakes of other developers of this time.
