I only made it half way through the first episode. I am thinking if something has so much evil attached to it and people are being harmed because of these items, the answer seems simple to me. Burn them! Anyone who keeps such items (including Zak Baggins) is only inviting demonic activity into their lives. Curiosity killed the cat.
