they really, truly, genuinely, set the bar for anime live action adaptations. This is absolutely perfect. The actors all give 110%. The writers clearly are One Piece fans or THOROUGLY researched Oda's work. Also Oda himself supervised the production apparently which truly shows. The show is perfect. It captures the spirit of One Piece, which is a big thing that has been missing in every live action adaptation to date. The costumes and sets feel lived in, and don't feel like a 50 Dollar cosplay off of Amazon. In an interview, Oda said when he saw Inaka as Luffy, he thought "this is Luffy" and that he can't imagine anyone else as Luffy. I can't agree more. I can keep fanboying but I won't. Do yourself a favor and watch it. It's good.
