Sappy and overdramatized. The only enjoyable things are the scenery and ranching and horse culture.

The problem with musicals, no matter how highly acclaimed, the moment people start singing it takes you out of the story, the illusion of realism collapses. People in real life don't break into song when going through the paces of their lives.

I would like to know as to why the Asian actors are not represented in the cast, specifically the scene were the prisoners are forced to play Russian roulette, other wise, great movie.

I've heard about Monsantos and Round Up herbicide before seeing this movie. That corporation is an absolute disgrace. I could say more by bringing government corruption into the conversation but what would be the point because morally they are both operating on the same level. But that's another matter. Great to see Christopher Walken again in a role worth portraying, and as usual he delivered a solid performance.

Tom Hanks did an amazing job on not being recognized as Tom Hanks. I've seen many Tom Hanks movies and you can always recognize him emidiatly but in this movie I had to Google the movie and discover Tom Hanks plays Colonel Parker.
