I have been a loyal Fox Special Report viewer for many years. However, recently, Bret Baier is drifting from news reporting to coverage of news we already know and has been covered by Bret and other Fox hosts. For example, his segments of "Common Ground" adds very little to what we already know but seems to have a main purpose of giving a positive impression of Bret as a correspondent. Also, the lengthy coverage and visit to the Ukraine, interview with President Zelensky, again adds little to what we know about the war in Ukraine but comes across as a show of Bret's exposure of war risk and what he can do. In addition, it gave Zelensky a platform to plead for financial support (proDemocrat position) when that question is a political issue in Congress. Lastly, Bret takes every opportunity to remind his audience of previous coverage, intervies and visits, not very subtly bragging.I like Bret and hope he can return to his normal coverage of the news and avoid what appears to be "self-aggrandizement".
