Potatoes Make Fries

I've never watched any of the cheaper by the dozen movies but wow this one is.. bad.. I feel like the characters did not hold their ground. for example the mom (played by gabriel union), she was mad that the dad (the white dad, sorry i dont know the actor's name) was going out so much for his career because that was the issue she had with her ex but liiiike... she literally gave him the pass that it was ok 😑😑 the costume design was also so badd. like the parents didnt match at all. zoey had all these outfits (that were terrible btw) that didnt match the vibe of the dad. it was like "how are these two together???" like ok, you wanna show where they come from but there are better ways to do it... Also when they brought up the topics like growing up being black, and living with the hardships (dont get me wrong i think these topics are great to talk about especially in media and its great to see it cuz im black myself) BUT it felt so out of place and forced in our faces when this movie is supposed to be lightharded ya know? i really thought this was gonna be a cute fun movie..
