Funny to read the negative comments. This was a mandatory read in the 70s in grade school when I lived in Weymouth Massachusetts. I wasn't a reader, but I loved this book. And when it came out as a movie, I was very happy as a kid. I don't remember the read but I did remember the story dynamics. I guess it had a lot of dialogue and maybe that's why I like books and movies with great dialogue. Have a great day. Oh, it's a recommend, especially if you have children. I liked it as a kid.
