Although there were far too many men cast in this film #getmenoutofcinema, this is a timeless masterpiece showcasing raw, uncensored teenage solidarity. (Radio Rebel, 2012). The humor was both feminist and subversive, keeping in mind that I did not laugh any time a man spoke #getmenoutcomedy; instead choosing to save my giggles and chortles for the dynamic, sensual, boisterous, multitalented, diverse, female leads (Radio Rebel, 2012). As a Marxist-Feminist, I would have liked to see less of a feminine gaze and absolutely NO men; alas, I appreciate the work of the costume designer who went at lengths to make sure every character had a ~funky~ hat (Radio Rebel, 2012). I love how the characters explain what is going on because otherwise, I would have no idea what is going on because my small lady brain can't handle it. But if you're looking for more movies like this, I recommend the equally comparable films: Gone With the Wind, Back to the Future 2, Cats!, Trolls 2 World Tour, The Godfather, Singing in the Rain, Jaws, The Sound of Music, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, and last but not least, Schindler's List. I AM RADIO REBEL!
