Soorarai Pottru is a great movie coming in at the wrong time. Suriya's theatrical prowess is back at display while the strong theme drives the movie to the epitome of inspiring stuff. Aparna Balamurali stood out and her character was as passionate as Nedumaran. Soorarai Pottru is worth watching though it excessively dramatizes certain sequences right from man handling the DGCA chairman to crash landing in Tambaram air Force strip. Vfx takes a back seat in certain sequences while it is manageable overall. Music from GV Prakash is wonderful and apt to the theme of the plot in most instances.
