To be completely honest if your looking for a scare this series doesn't hold a candle to "the haunting of hill house" the narrative story is great but at no time did I feel a sense of paranoia fear or anything that would relate to a horror movie or show, the sense of horror was very heavy handed almost predictable at some points basically negating from it effect. personally in terms of my own prefered taste I'd much rather see the looming sense of fear and unpridectabilty like that was similar to "the haunting of hill house" but for a dark drama this is an excellent show to watch which holds a minimal amount of fear inducing events i would recomend this show again from my own personal standard
