Don't go by the critics and naysayers reviews. This is a comeback vehicle for Vadivelu and is a laugh riot, including dialogues, references and Easter eggs of his past movies. With better screenplay and direction the movie could have been much much better, but worth a watch thanks to Vadivelu.

The film is a brutally honest retelling of the Kashmiri Pandit genocide and exodus, perpetrated by Islamists. Vivek Agnihotri has never been a very good technical filmmaker, but you have to ignore those flaws for a story that needed to be told. Especially when many leftist distorians and aligned movie reviewers will criticize the movie and term the KP exodus and the underlying events as false.

Takes the Hero's Journey and the cliche underdog storyline seen many times before, but delivers it with a fresh execution, Pa Ranjith treatment of caste and social issues, period (70s) effects and political commentary. Despite the 3 hour running time, it is a great watch due to the script, the performances, cinematography, and a soundtrack to Die Iconic! Comparisons with Toofan are natural (two 🥊movies on same OTT platform in a week) but Sarpatta Parambarai towers over Toofan like a Main-board boxer over a sidekick 💪

This film and the trilogy is panned by critics, especially those who diss Shyamalans work! I personally love the trilogy...gives a fresh new twist to the superhuman genre... James McAvoy and Samuel Jackson are 👏
