I can relate to Shaun emotionally. He craves a relationship, gets advice, sometimes great advice and other times advice that was inappropriate from others looking in. I, 100%, to my soul understand how he much hates being touch but tries many ways to overcome that fear. More importantly I felt the frustration, grief, hurt and anger at the disappointing but much need closure from his father. My little brother was Autistic and he was as bright as anyone else. But people see the label and not the person and if you had a mother like mine, she wasn't abusive per say like shauns dad but she used pills as a way to not deal with him and pushed him in front of a tv. But she doted on him when out in public like a saint but behind closed doors, she hated him. Overall, "The Good Doctor!" Is a great tv show, especially for showing the world how it should be were we to let go of preconceived notions and didn't let race, gender, disabilities or age separate us. Nicely done Mr. Kim.
