I have loved his books. I am very disappointed in this one and won’t read him anymore. Regardless of political persuasion, he took a great character and ruined it with political themes. I want to read a good book, not read what he thinks of Trump, Black Lives Matter, or Jan 6. Think what you think, write a blog, or nonfiction book on your beliefs, I don’t care. I buy your fiction for great storytelling, but that has come to an end.

Another fail on Jenna Bush Hagar book club list. The conversation is trite and the premise is narcissistic. Present day funerals verses a get together to see how everyone is doing?

It was awful! The story lacked continuity, poor characterizations, and a ridiculous, juvenile premise. Very disappointed in Jenna Bush Hagar for selecting this book for a book club. Belongs in trash.

It is the first book in Jenna Bush Hager’s book club that is horrible. The characters are not endearing to the reader, and the ending leaves everything to be desired. If an author cannot follow through on a premise, they should not be writing.
