Picked up this book at an OP shop for my daughter's. My kids are 1,3 &5 and they all want to be princess's. As we started reading the first story "Goose girl" this book became quite dark. Imagine painting a picture through words of a princess's horse being decapitated and hung on the path for the princess to look at daily. She talks to her horses head daily on her way past "poor Fallada hanging there".
THIS IS NOT A BOOK FOR CHILDREN ITS THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES!
