I think Kangana was trying to tell the audience there is a very dark side to the Bollywood industry where girls are abused as they seek stardom. There are some good acting scenes involving Nawazuddin and Avneet Kaur. As you expect with all Nawazuddin Siddiqi films there is a lot of comedy yet there are dark moments in the movie.
