I’ll try not to give away too much, but hats off to Cillian Murphy playing such a tough character who in real life was quite quirky and emotionless on the surface. Am I to understand that Christopher Nolan wrote this? The dialogue is unbearable. The entire movie revolves around short sentences and quick retorts enough to drive you crazy. Because of it, there is no emotional connection between the women and oppenheimer, most colleagues with each other, and pretty much everything else. I found many of the extra performances either irritating or mediocre. Emily Blunt is wasted. In all fairness, Nolan attempted to include way too much and by doing so (using flashbacks) it becomes even more detached. The visuals from New Mexico are gorgeous and well done.

Years ago, I thought the movie FRAILTY was extremely underrated, especially considering it was Bill Paxton’s directorial debut. I gave Frailty a 10. Although it’s hard to call Take Shelter a 10, the performances certainly are. It’s just beautifully performed, and you don’t know til the end which path it will take.

What a silly little movie. 3 good actors wasted. I was rooting for the lizard monsters

Hilarious, moving into the sublime. Such sweet and powerful writing, acting.... I shouldn’t be embarrassed as a 57-year-old man to say that I love these two girls (women), Primarily because they are so fun,so loyal(practically always) and so incredibly honest emotionally....

While it is long, it actually had strong impact on me based on the acting & the drama. the lengths to which humans go to try to survive Depends more upon mental and emotional strength than physical strength

Different! Darkly sweet & sad. Uncommon loyalties & redemption are my takeaways.
