I was eager to watch this movie after all the glowing reviews and very high rating on rotten tomatoes. Now I am wondering if I watched the same movie as everyone else. I can understand how this would have been great for children 12 and under, but the plot was boring, inconsistent and annoyingly predictable. I do have one question for the people who watched and loved this movie - at what point did the Shazam character display the wisdom of Solomon or the courage of Achilles? It had one scene that made me laugh (a nod to street fighter), but most of the better parts of the movie were already shown during the movie trailers. I have seen more compelling / creative writing in Pixar movies and Disney cartoons. I think this movie has helped my finally commit to the decision that all DC live action movies will be a "pass" for me going forward. It may be worth a watch if you are doing so with children (or if you are easily entertained). If not, I would recommend you not waste the 2 + hours of your life.
