I'm confused by all the reviews I have read about this film. It is a work of genius which has nothing to do with Batman etc ,other than by oblique reference. Best movie I have seen in many a year. Hitchcock rightly said that actors are cattle, only there in the service of the story. This is one of the exceptions that proves the rule. Ari Aster is,I believe, working with Phoenix for his next movie. Can't wait.
