So I hate to say that I really didn't find this film all that good. Whilst there are good points such as Michelle Yeoh's acting and the choreography I found that the film overall was very repetitive to the point that I got very bored. It was a constant random bizarre fight where the character then "verse jumped" to get a new skill followed by some dialogue and then rinse repeat. There was some slapstick style comedy which some parts were funny but others not so much. The universe where they were rocks went on for far to long to the point it became not funny.
The overall plot of the film wasn't that gripping, it had some feel good moments but it could have easily been a much shorter film, maybe an hour and a half tops. I understood the plot on the film and what they're trying to convey, it wasn't a bad plot it was just drawn out a bit to long.
I think it's a bit arrogant of the 5 star reviewers to slate the IQ and opinions of those who didn't enjoy the film, everyone has different tastes and anyone can preach a film is "amazing, breath of fresh air" and not everyone will agree simple as that, it's very subjective.
I would rather have waited to watch this on a streaming service than pay for a cinema ticket.
In summary I wouldn't call this a terrible film, I can see why people would enjoy it but I personally wouldn't agree with the raving reviews.
