Disappointingly facile. Lily James struggles with a Suffolk accent (although acts well otherwise), Sarah Lancashire struggles with a Liverpool one. There is a very silly John Lennon lookalike. The whole premise of the film is utterly ridiculous. On the plus side it was good to hear some of the Beatles songs.

It all unravelled ridiculously in the final episode and made little sense. Not to mention being difficult to follow.

Such a terrible disappointment. Apart from the fact that a lot of the narrative is utter nonsense, it is dreadfully poorly written. If one of my GCSE English Language students had written this badly, I would fear for that student's chances.
