A worthwhile new travel film on Netflix that takes your senses, stomach and heart on a journey to vivacious Vietnam. So happy to see more less portrayed Asian countries so beautifully and accurately represented in western cinema. A light warm-hearted romance that tugs in all the right places.
Lead male actor Scott Ly's family were boat refugees out of Vietnam right after the fall of Saigon in April 1975. Such as the case with so many I know including my husband and best friend. It's nice to see interest in depicting so much more to Vietnam than its known history and opening up that creativity in film making.
