Back when it came out, I bet this was a great game.
As of now though, it feel kind of like a budget title. The game plays similarly to Mario Party in that four people compete in a series of mini-games.
As opposed to Mario Party, there are no boards; you just play the mini-games in consecutive order. Each mini-game grants you orbs and the player with the most orbs at the end, wins.
The mini-games are fun although they can feel a bit samey. Some of them involve driving vehicles, collecting items or hitting the other players.
I’m sure the game is a blast with friends, but as a single-player experience, it’s not very fun. All you can do is compete with the CPU and it’s not a very rewarding experience.
Something I like about the game is the style. The character designs and music are unique and remind me of Jet Set Radio in their modern urban style.
Overall, I recommend the game if you want to play a light party game with friends. Just don’t expect a deep, rewarding experience.
