This film was in production for almost 7 years and it truly shows in the graceful way these very intense topics are presented. Israelism does NOT accuse anyone of anything and does attack Zionism/Israel, instead, it relies on storytelling and personal experiences to explore the topics of Zionism, occupation, and the Jewish identity. We get a mix of two Jewish American young adults who were raised with Zionist teachings (one was even a soldier) and their stories of self-discovery, questioning, and growth. These anecdotes are combined with interviews from Zionist leaders and Israeli advocates discussing why Israel is important to them and how they use their positions of power to promote Israel.
Highly recommend this movie!
